Color Selection HELP! MR vs JZB
I'm going crazy changing my mind back and forth over the exterior/interior selection. I would like to hear some opinions on why you would choose one of the two combinations.
Melbourne Red/Black VS Jerez Black w/ Fox Red. The car is ordered, and today may be my last day to change this option, so I would appreciate to hear what the M3post collective has to say. |

i appreciate the votes and couple of comments so far.
would definitely like to hear some comments backing the votes too, especially from MR and JZB owners. btw, other options are zcp, ztp, zpp, premium sound, ipod adapter, carbon leather trim. can't wait to pick the car up in Munich! |

If you're purchasing this car I'd get a black one because you'll find trying to offload that red car will be more difficult down the line.
If you're leasing, pick what you want. |

me personally I have white but white is so common among M's but my 2nd choice was always red only problem is the resale will be hard down the line unlike a white, silver or black car. Also red sticks out for cops lol. If you plan on keeping it forever i would say red if not then go with the safe choice in black just make sure you dont let the black paint get dull

wow the poll has made a major swing from jzb to mr. final color scheme has been selected. I think it would be hard to regret either option.

My last car was hellrot, and red was nice from a maintenance standpoint in that it didn't look dirty immediately after a rainstorm or whatever. Melbourne is a nice color but it just doesn't grab me like hellrot, imola, or even electric red. I guess I'm not a metallic red person.
Jerez is awesome, I love it.

Without a doubt Melbourne red. If you ignore the fact that you'll have nightmares about how much you have to clean your Jerez black / Fox red car(which is almost as common as white) or the dings and nicks you'll spot from a mile away, you'll see that red is one color that not a lot of people go with because it might be too flashy. I think the car looks sexy and mean plus you can rest assured knowing that you have a more special M3.

well a little more than one year later i thought i would leave some comments. i ended up with jerez black and fox red. the melbourne red still catches my eye everything i see it but all black interior seemed too bland too me. the fox red interior is awesome, and i can not imagine ever being bored of it. the paint often looks dirty, but for those brief moments when it is clean, it does look pretty spectacular.

Never had a problem selling, always had tons of interests. The thing with bright color cars is that there are not that many out there because everyone thinks they are difficult to sell. So, the people that are looking for them will jump right on it and be eager to do the deal. And really, who are you buying the car for? The guy after you or YOU? Oh, and I ordered an MR M3 sedan, because gray, black, silver are so boring. |

I would suggest the MR with black. I own jerez and love it but have seen a few with fox interior and don't like the combo. When the jerez shows purple and the red interior it reminds me of a cartoon or superhero, maybe spiderman. Just don't like the look.
