Fraud By "komitao"

Does anyone know who "Komitao" is?

I sent him $1200 CDN. for some rims over a month ago and of course nothing arrived. He has changed his numbers and gave me fake tracking numbers.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe he has a 2009 135i (Alpine White).

He may have used the fake name "Tony Phung"

oh man, I am sorry to hear that. Tony Phung sold me a macbook pro unibody on here and it was a total scam. he took my money and sent nothing, not even tracking numbers. I won the paypal dispute but they couldn't get anything so I did a chargeback on my credit card and won. I tracked him down via various internet searched and called a house and they were asian and acted like he either didn't live there or they couldn't understand. I also called the apple store where he used to work. turns out he was fired for stealing from them.

If you haven't already:

Look up his threads and see if he has transactions with others, especially with him buying. Then see if you can get his address if you don't already have it - assuming he isn't giving a different shipping address.

You should at least be able to get whereabouts he lives and start picking up some more info. Using the internet it's amazing what you can find out if you start stringing the data together. Be a royal PITA.

Sorry to hear about your theft. I communicated with him over his M261 wheels in Jan & Feb. Walked away when I saw the pics. Also was suspicious when his email name didnt match him bimmer post name. This was the email address he sent me. qqmaxrpm@gmail.com. He said he lived in Edmonton.

I will look for other communications between him and me.
