So what kind of modifications are involved to run this set up? I remember reading something about hammering/rolling fenders/camber plates ect ect.

camber plates and a roll, hammering was unneccesary imo.

Badass.

I have a question for you guys now that some of you have experience with these wheels:

What's the largest front tire you could run at stock height without screwing with the camber? Would a 235 fit without rubbing?

Yea...without increased neg camber that is about the largest tire you can run. Also depends on what type of tires you are used. Dunlop Star Specs pictured here (and what I have fitted, coilovers are as high as they will go) run a little wide for a 255 anyways.

I hope this helps.

at leat remove alignment pin and get as much as you can there. I would bet if you got a tire that did not run wide you would be fine! I dunno if anyone has done it though

Looks great, Andy!!! Question... how is it sitting so low, if that is with stock springs on???

Btw, glad you have this squared away now. Gonna be a very fun season!

stock springs up front, guessing either camber plates or bigger tires as the reason. eibach out back.

I'm confused: so you had to use OEM springs on aftermarket coilovers to get the ARCs/255s to fit without rubbing, or to get a mechanically noise free setup? Aren't Berk and Larryn running the same setup without issue?

I'm confused, did you roll the front or rear fenders? I am just trying to figure out if my 275 slicks are going to fit in the back...

oem springs on oem shocks up front. eibach on stock shocks in the rear. they have more tolerance for pain than me. I couldnt take the discomfort.

Looks great! How come you had to do fender rolling though? I thought with camber plates the fronts would fit 255s easy?? Would 245s need fender rolling?

i dont know anyone using 255's that dont have modified fenders. 245's different story. If you can find a 245/35 thats decent I would buy that instead of a 255.

Thanks for sharing - Love those arc-8 wheels! What size wheels are you running F&R? Feel free to post up some more pics - no one would complain!

Just so I can get this through my thick head... stock, no mods front or rear, you can run up to a 245/35/18 front and 275/35/18 rear with out any rubbing on what size arc-8 wheels?

Can you run 255/35/18 front w/ just a fender roll? I'd love to be able to run 255/35/18 all around without having to do more than that.

Thanks again - love your car + wheels! mpp

Camber plates are a must to run a meaty 235 or wider up front. 245/35 doesn't need a roll. 255/35 seems to need a roll if you're not maxing out your camber plates.

My car is at max camber on vorshlag plates and m3 control arms giving me even more camber and I needed a fender roll and tab shaving. I would definetly warn anyone getting over 245's that modifications are necessary even with camber plates and control arms.

Here's a pic of my 135 in action with ARC8s in Hyper black riding 245/35 Hankook V12s front and 275/35 v12s rear. Stock springs, shocks, 1.1 degrees camber (vorshlag plates) and as you can see from the pic, even under hard cornering, there's no rubbing.
No fender roll either.

btw, these Hankook V12s are really fun. They slid but never threw me for a loop, so to speak:

Notice how friggin' fat the rears are:

Looks great 135gofast. I'm planning on an STU build on my 2011 135i for next autox season. How are you liking that setup? Do you think having 275 in the back helps a lot? Or maybe a more square setup like 245/255 or 265 in the rear.

Another option is less tire width and lower suspension. I'd like to hear your thoughts based on autox experience
