Iphone connection problem
Every time I connect my phone with the USB cable, idrive is never able to retrieve the songs until I disconnect the able from the USM slot and re-connect it. I have the first gen. iphone, anyone else experience this issue?

I have the first gen iphone too, but does not have this problem. Usually, the phone asks if I want to switch to airplane mode. I enter no, and phone and music works fine.

I have the 3Gs and I have the exact issue. It connects and charges my phone, but I can't access it on the iDrive without disconnecting then reconnecting.
I also have the 09 iDrive BTW

Its far easier and better if you use a USB stick and keep your iphone seperate. I know its sounds like your going the long way around it but trust me eventually you will see its far easier with the USB stick.
