Tyre Insurance 'catch'
After scouring the country for a bridgestone runflat and eventually getting bmw to import one, they rang the tyre insurance company, called AutoProtect, to claim, and they said i'm not covered because its my second claim on SAME TYRE in one year. I argued of course, but apparently in the terms and conditions. I took a walk to the showroom and found the guy who sold me the insurance. He said that's rubbish. Rang them up, but they stuck to their guns. My sales guy was not happy. No one in whole showroom had ever heard of this clause, and reckon its recently changed. He said obviously if i'd known beforehand i would have just swapped the wheels over! He's vowed to keep arguing with them on my behalf. Cant fault the sales guys here (Stevenage), even the big boss recognises me every time, comes out of his office and makes me a coffee. But as for the insurance? Pah!
