Finally after the months of waiting, heartache, and some teasing...I got the wheels mounted (and got my inspection 1 taken care of).

Some pics...sorry about the quality...the sun is setting and I didn't want to use flash.

So..as some of you can probably tell, they're MORR Alloys VS8s. I really wanted signature black, but after a seller on e90post backed out on me and sold local, I really just wanted the wheels. Carlos couldn't produce any in a reasonable time frame so I got sparkle silver. I LOVE the way they look. Today was a long day, especially after I had to wait an extra day so my inspection could be completed.

Anyway, they're on. I couldn't be happier, and some autobahn runs will happen in the near future. Probably tonight.

Tires are ADVAN Sport, 245/35 front, 265/35 rear Y rated to 186.

beautiful wheels. glad you finally came through with pictures. Although I must say those pictures are pretty poor. We need distant profile shots to look at them on the car!

Thanks for compliments guys. I hope I get a chance to clean up the car and take some better pics tomorrow.

I have to say I feel like I'm driving a completely different car. Between the engine service as part of the inspection and the new rubber...

First the positives. The engine hasn't been so smooth in a loooong time. I forgot how joyous it is to rev to the redline continuously as you fly through the gears. I don't ever remember having as much fun driving the car as I did on the way home tonight.

The ADVAN Sports hold the road soooo good. The turn in with the wider rubber up front is much improved, and I have yet to hit the traction limit. I can't wait until they're broken in!

The only negatives are the noticebly harsher ride, which I was expecting, and the big increase in tire noise and some tendency to tramline, which I wasn't expecting.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with the wheels, tires, and service. And, I don"t think I could've had more fun driving the car short of putting it on a track.

What mileage are you at that you just had inspection 1? I am coming up on mine I believe... 20k miles.

Not sure if they let you go ahead of the actual scheduled mileage or you have to wait. I not use to not DIYing on a car. lol.

I look forward to your other pictures after she is all clean.

I got mine done at about 23.5 k miles. The service center wrote the exact number in km. I had about 1500 miles left on the counter, and since I'm not under warranty in Germany and was going to pay for the tires and wheels being balanced and mounted anyway I thought I should probably knock it all out in one shot.

If you do get your inspection done, I hope your service center is as good and thorough as the Germans.

Yeah, I live across the street. There are 2 other ///M Coupe's over here that I know about. One blue, one half blue half silver.

Between the three of us here, there are two more at Ramstein I know of. You're at Bodensee??? Nice!

Yeah, I got lucky and am at a remote location. We should set something up some weekend in August. But instead of thread jacking we should start a new thread about this.

I called MORR, apparently the next batch is scheduled for October, and who knows how long it will take them to ship those out. I guess you can't rush quality wheels.

I ended up getting some ZCP wheels cause I just can't wait for the next batch, plus the price is now up to $3200.

Wonder what the VS10s will look like?

BTW is that your stock suspension? Did you add any spacers? If not then that's pretty good for a stock setup with your wheels.
