Best source for hardtop for 2006 Z4M

Greetings to the forum,

Whats the best source for a hardtop for a 2006 Z4M?

I am located in New Jersey. Any ideas on cost?

Any and all help-steering-direction would be appreciated.

Thanks.....

www.getbmwparts.com (Tischner BMW)

A sapphire black one is $2738.40+$150 for shipping. About the best I have found.

I have had 7-8 orders with them for different stuff and never had any issues.

Seriously, the only sure, quick method is to bite the bullet and buy a new one. You can watch eBay and the forums for one to pop up but that would likely take months and there's still the hassle of getting it to you because no one ever wants to ship something so big. And bear in mind you'll have to retrofit the parts to fit it to your car.

I don't know why I thought that all M Roadsters came with the prep kit. Seems like I read it somewhere...anyway easy enough for you to check.

Plus if you did happen to get one on ebay then more than likely it isn't going to be in the paint color you need.

All Z4 roadsters, M or not, have the prep kit if sold outside the US. Here we had to order it.

yep. I did not order the prep kit when I bought my car. It was $75 dollars so it is pretty silly to charge extra and without it they are even less likely to sell you a hard top later. I left it off because I have no intention of adding a hardtop. I don't want the hassle of having to put it on and take it off when I typically only drive the car in the winter when it is warm out anyway.
