Damn, 100 octane?! I only knew of one station in NJ that offered that, a Sunoco in Toms River. I think that they stopped selling it though. I'm sticking with my sub $2 Shell 93 octane I suppose.
I am curious if their is an appreciable power difference w/ 100 octane over 91/93. Any Dyno geeks out there? Hell Nascar engines also run about 12:1 and they use 98 octane.

does anyone else but me think it's messed up to call your car "sweetie" and wish it happy anniversary?

I always fill up with 100 Octane. Here in Germany every second gas station has a 100 octane. On my car it even says not less than 95 octane.
How is it in the US?

Your 100 octane is roughly the same as the United States 93 octane, and your 95 is about the same as US 91. We won't get into addatives and ethanol.
