Blackberry Bold and iDrive Work Well

In case others are wondering, I just traded up my previous BB 8320 to a new Bold 3G here in France and it synced up and connected to iDrive/Bluetooth very well. The connection is super-stable compared to the 8320, which sometimes wavered a bit. The iDrive finds and connects to the phone very quickly.

The other thing that is also improved is the sync of the address book. I have about 840 contacts, and w/the 8320 I have to filter it down a lot to get it to sync; with the Bold, it works great with the entire contacts list.

Now, let's see if BMW will release a snap-in cradle for the Bold...

I have the bold as well and it works fantastic...way better than my iphone

BOLD FTW!!

I agree - they should make a bold cradle.
But the Bold has one weakness and that is its battery life - switching on the bluetooth makes it even worse. I often times just plug my BOLD using a USB cable into the USB plug below the armrest to charge it while I'm driving for long distances.

^^+1 my bold drains out half way throughout the day

i just bring my charger around and recharge whnever i need to

My Bold works great. Synch seamlessless always loads quickly. Battery life on Bluetooth can be short. Otherwise great phone. Works well in my Cayenne S too!

I love my Bold also. I also like how I can use the USB port to charge my bold thats a good plus if the phone dying just need the USB sync cable.
