New Financing After 3/2/09?

Does anyone know if 0.9% will be offered on 1 series after 3/2/09? I'm supposed to pick up my 1er next week and I've already confirmed the 2 free payments with my CA. When I wrote the deal it was at the current 3.9% but I'm wondering if new financing is on the horizon. Any info is greatly appreciated. I can't wait to take delivery!

Even if the rate drops, if you WANT the 2 free payments, you have to keep your current rate. So if it drops to 0.9% you can either take that or the payments & 3.9%

Unless it's 0.9% AND 2 free payments right?

correct, if the new program consists of the lower rate & free payments, then you can take advantage

That would be very sweet, indeed.

Is there a pending announcement coming that will clarify the new rates & terms? I should be taking delivery within a week or so.

everything will probably be static. The current programs are slated until the 31st. Business has started picking back up, autoshows are happening, & in general more people are thinking of buying. Honestly I wouldn't expect an enhancement. Obviously it would be nice, but I don't think it's coming based on what I've seen

Not expecting it, but I had the option of picking up this Sat. or next and I decided to wait just in case FS does sweeten the offer. CA was trying to push it through for the 28th so he could get in for Feb. sales but I negged him on the basis of "its not as if the current offer will go away or worsen by waiting a week- the downside IS waiting another week." He then pulled the "offers are always subject to change" card but would they really cancel or worsen the offer after stating in b&w that its good thru end of Mar? My feeling was no. But now the wait gets brutal knowing my car is sitting in Bayonne as I type this....

I'm waiting too!

My CA has been calling all day trying to get me to take delivery this Saturday. I understand that she is trying to make her Feb. numbers, but I also know that the 3.9% is in effect until 3/2/09. I figure that another week won't be too awful, especially if the rate does drop. My CA is pushing me hard to take delivery, which makes me want to wait a little. Oh the pain!

Might be a dumb question but where on bmw does it show the rate is only good till the 3/2/09?

My CA was saying 3/2 at first also and I was like dude check bmwusa.com, its 3/31. 3/2 maybe for the 08s? Seems to me they were really trying to get cars out the door in Feb. Maybe to bolster weak Feb sales numbers or maybe the deal sweetens in Mar. Maybe both!

Slight Conflict

If you look at Edmunds, the 3.9 is good until 3/2/09 and that's what I was told when I wrote my deal in January. I think that BMW extended it to 3/31 when they added the 2 free payments. Check out the link below.

I wouldn't rely on Edmunds for the most up to date info- 3.9 with first two is good thru 3/31 on 09 1ers...my CA confirmed after I was like: dude?

3.9% + two "free" payments continues through 3/31/09 on the 135/128.

0.9% financing AND two "free" payments on other select BMWs (NOT the 135i or 128i).

+1.

I picked mine up last night on the 3.9% + two free payments plan.

The loan is simple interest with no prepayment penalty.

Since I plan on paying off completely within a few months this is like an additional $1000 off the price.

Nice bonus.

I was planning to pay cash, but, for two free payments, I'm considering financing and then paying off the balance after the two free payments. Can anyone confirm the no pre-payment penalty? A pdf of the financing agreement terms would be great. Also, what is the duration of the loan? Thanks!

Confirmed. You choose duration: 3/4/5 years. You'll save about 1300 by NOT paying cash if you make the payments 750 which is exactly what I did on a 4yr term and very little down. Sometimes it pays not to be debt averse, this is one of those times.
