American Headlights
Hello, I live in Portugal ( europe), and I would like to know were can I buy the Bi-xenon headligts ( American ones) for my bimmer. I have halogen headlights, and I want to put some Bi-xenon in my car, I saw some very good pictures of bimmers with the american headligts, and liked very much. Thanks |

Maybe if you are lucky someone in the US wants to swap down to halogen to get rid of the amber then? If not the easyest way is to go to your dealer and order new ones there. Expensive tho... Also ebay.com, or ebay.de can be useful.

obviously the first guy has dibs- but if you were to do this- make sure you found bi-xenons made for the auto leveling, adaptive turning features, the auto rain sensors and the pop up washers to match our cars- lots to consider there

Of course - if you install US headlights in Europe, they will not be legal there, just as if you install Euro spec headlights in the USA - they are not legal here. Different specifications.
However - this may not be important to you - perhaps in your jurisdiction it does not matter and no one will check you on it. In Canada - both Euro and North America specs are legal. |

For what I was told, wen I buy Bi-xenon, I only have to by the Ballastrs( I don't know if this is the right name in english), the auto regulation my car already has. Here in Portugal we don't have many problems in that subject.
Probably I will end up buying the "european" Bi-xenon, because is very difficult to find headlights with ambers. But thanks for your opinions! |
