M3 Rims for 135i? - Possibly paint black?

Hey guys, im getting a 135i soon (january) and planning on upgrading it alot. First thing that came to my mind is getting m3 rims on it. I like the alpine white 135, and was thinkin maybe if i powder black coated the m3 rims and stuck them on their how that would look. any suggestions to this? * i noticed there are a few different styles of m3 rims too.

http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/4...gnaturevq3.jpg

also i was thinkin in the future to hopefully get a few mods, any other mods i could get to boost the performance u guys know of?
-juice box 3 kit
-riss racing downpipe
-bms intake
-m3 rims with drag radials*
-possibly a suspension upgrade?
-cpe exhaust?

if u guys have any suggestions that would be awesome with the mods..price of the upgrades arn't factor on that either :P

Is it possible to put wheels from the new M3 on the 1'er?

I don't see how real OEM BMW M3 wheels would ever fit a 1 series if they have a crazy aggressive offset for the wider M3. Even the replica M3 wheels with more conservative offset's of E35 all around would NOT work on your 1 series. I might be able to get some M3 reps with conservative offsets pretty soon. But don't know yet.

Not possible. The offsets are totally different.

You will need to look for some replicas.

where there's a will there's a way! you can machine wheels or add spacers to achieve your goal. You wouldn't even have to redrill the holes as the bolt pattern is already the same. might not be the cheapest route but would look sick! I say go for it!

Spacers are one thing (though they have their drawbacks as well), but never, ever, ever, have the back mating surface of the wheel machined to remove material for a higher offset. There will be less material holding the spokes to the hub, and less material for the bolts to the car. All of that equals a potentially extremely dangerous situation.

The offset difference between the M3 wheel and the 1er wheel is quite large, and removing that much material from the back mating surface of some pretty expensive wheels would render them dangerous at best, or totally unusable.

^ didn't realize it was that big of a difference in offset. I know people have shaved a few mm here and there with no issues but I see what you mean if you take off a lot. good luck OP, maybe someone will make some m3 reps with the right offsets.

the difference is around 25mm, way too much to even think about milling off the wheels
