Changing destination in Navi
I cannot seem to figure out how to change the destination in the Navi section of I-Drive. I want to be able to stop the destination address and replace with a new destination. How do you do this? Anyone?

Do you have voice control? My favourite feature: Press the voice button and say "Stop Guidance". Much easier than using menus.
If not I can't help with menus sorry as I have the new version of iDrive.

Hi you first need to click on your current destination, then it will give you options, pick one.

Another alternative is to buy a paper map. The old iDrive nav in my 4 month old car is the most unintuitive piece of junk I have ever had the misfortune of using. I got it for the iPod display, which is useful, but the nav is useless for anything but typing in an address and listening to the lady for when to turn.
Try finding a dentist. You can't type in the name without picking a category. Is it a personal service? Or is it healthcare? Or what about a business? They are all DIFFERENT categories which a dentist would fit into (the correct choice is personal service if I remember correctly, and turns out my dentist wasn't in the database anyway). |

Then you are free to input a new destination. Whether via further voice commands (which I find too difficult) or via the controller.

I find I use "Start Guidance", "Stop Guidance", "FM" and "USB AUX" as the four main voice commands. The rest are really just gimmicky and there are way too many to remember.

My bloody voice control has stopped working anyway! It no longer 'hears' me. Annoyed because it was working beautifully. Bluetooth died at the same time.
Car is booked in Tuesday to be hooked up to the computer. I guess my car will be the guinea pig for all 09 idrive failures seeing it was produced on the very first day...
