Premium audio EQ
Im sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but can anyone explain how the Hz values on an EQ work. Im not very knowledgeable as far as sound systems go; im just trying to make the most of my premium audio system.
Thanks to those who will help me out, and also thanks to those who dont laugh at the question, after all its hard enough to ask such aquestion. |

The lower the Hertz (Hz) value the lower the sound. Bass is down at 20Hz and high frequency sounds are up to 20KHz. Voice is typically quite low in the 100's of Hz but the harmonics we create when singing require a frequency range that goes up to 4KHz or so.

So basically, the lower valued ones are for lower sounds, such as bass, and the higher ones are for mid to high range sounds...Thank you.

Yes. You just need to play with it and see what you like. I personally just leave it flat.
