Direct Line Insurance
I rang Direct Line to confrim they had listed all my options on my policy to make sure they are aware of everything.
They told me that tinted glass would add £100 to my premium as the rules have changed? I couldn't believe it. However, when I told them that on the invoice it was called sun protection glass they said that wasn't chargable. They noted I had sun protection glass which was slightly tinted and that was it. I'm now worried that they are the same thing? I also found this http://www.money.co.uk/article/10007...ifications.htm |

Any way to get extra cash out of us IMO, they could have used the angle that Tints, Privacy, or Sun protection glass renders the window a less likely an entry point and therefore the cars slightly more secure

I imagine they are trying to indentify after-market tints, not factory "window options". You've told them, they've noted it. No need to worry.
