Door speakers... Upgrade to Logic 7 4" speakers possible?

I've heard people talking about this, but where would I order and how much would I expect to pay?

I have standard hifi in the USA. I've already upgraded to aftermarket tweeters with good results. I just want better door speakers.

Anyone know the BMW part numbers for the L7 4" fronts that go in the door cards?

here is a link to the BMW part number for the logic 7 speaker. you should be able to order it from the dealer with the part #.

If you are going to go through the trouble to upgrade - would suggest going aftermarket. 50mm is the max mounting depth and 2 ohms is the impedance to match the factory hi-fi amp. Infinity reference is a drop in fit.

Not wanting to sound like a pratt or anything, but just FYI ... Technically the speakers are Harmon Kardon speakers, the Logic7 part is actually the Digital Signal Processor incorporated into the AMP for Surround Sound, and Harmon Kardon also own the Logic7 brand.

The other thing that the premium audio option offers is a higher output Amp, around 300 Watts as opposed to 150 Watt, so just changing the Speakers may not give you all you want.

I know its HK, I had a 335i with L7. I also know the factory amp in the standard is lower (like half) power, but changing speakers will still help. I replaced the tweeters with some Focal Polyglass, and they blaze. I just want some better mids next. I will piecemeal this system and upgrade it over time.

thanks for the tips! The Premium stock amp is over $1000, so that one is not in my cards. I'll look into this Alpine kit also.

It does say this tho..

FOR VEHICLES WITH
HIFI SPEAKER SYSTEM = NO

I have the hifi speaker system..
