4" door speaker removal? Door panel access?

I wanted premium hifi, but there was a car that had almost everything else on it coming in, so I took it. I took delivery this past weekend.

The standard hifi is OK, but not nearly what the L7 was in my 335i. I pulled the tweeters and put my Focal Polyglass tweeters in.

Sadly, my mid drivers from that setup are 6".

I want to use the 4", so I'll probably get Focal 4" drivers or even coax speakers.

****All that leads up to my questions:

1) I have to pull the door panels, correct?
2) Any DIY, or is it just pop off tabs like Japanese cars with a couple bolts? Since the car has leather, I don't want to hurt it trying to jackhole it up.
