Adding an aftermarket amplifier
Has anyone else attempted to add an aftermarket amp and subs? I have disconnected the factory subs in the floor and tapped into the rear speaker for line level to the amp, but the signal from the speaker is pretty weak and the amp isn't getting enough input. Anybody have any ideas how to increase the input level?? :iono:

Do you have logic 7? If so then you need to tap into the sub amplifier outputs.
Another thing to look at is if your amp has balanced differental inputs. The head unit has this type of output. |

I was reading a post similar to this thread somewhere else on this forum. I was still unclear how to accomplish this too. I didnt order premium sound and was planning to use a JL Cleansweep to use the 4 channels and provide me with a clean, non-modified signal for my 1000/1.
Has anyone actually used the cleansweep or something similar to accomplish adding a sub? |
