Faults after blower recall

Hi all, after some advice please - apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I own a 2009 E82 which never had any issues until it recently went into my main dealer to have a long outstanding heater blower recall.

When I picked the car up after the recall it would make a series of about twelve continuous beeps from the tweeter for around 20 seconds after start up. I took the car back and they said it was nothing they'd done during the recall, but it was down to the "the aftermarket head unit", which I argued against because it's the original BMW Business unit. They then said there was a "random plug" in the harness behind the stereo which if they disconnect stops the beeps and in their words, disconnecting the plug didn't cause any issues with the stereo, the beeps stopped happening and the car was unaffected.

Now my phone won't work through the aux on the stereo (connecting through the cigarette lighter) and the indicators no longer self cancel.

Any help or advice is much appreciated, thanks.
