Nitty gritty leasing stuff. ('08 coupe)

Can someone tell me if this stuff is correct for an '08 M3 coupe (36 month lease). I qualify for the owner loyalty program.
  1. residual is 55%
  2. money factor is .0005
  3. security deposit is waived for owner loyalty
BTW, I asked my dealer about using security deposits to lower the Money Factor. He said that their dealership doesn't do them and never has?! Is this a dealer prerogative?

Sorry to bring back an old thread. But what is the deal now with owner loyalty on the coupe and sedan? I was just told that owner loyalty doesn't work for '08's anymore?!

Unfortunately as of 2/2/09 08 M3 coupes are no longer supported for leases. Meaning no special money factor or propped up residuals.

08 M3 sedans and verts still have the .00025 MF and 52-55% residual (depending on miles/year) until 3/2.

No M cars qualify for the owner loyalty incentives either unfortunately.

Hi, just to confirm... the is the MF of .00025 is for all buyers, not just loyalty customers? I spent all day working with a dealership who was telling me that .00058 was the absolute lowest I could get my MF even with 2 SD's.

They marked up the money factor by 40 points to .00065 (common practice) and took only one security deposit out. They didn't listen to you when you mentioned you are previous BMW FS, and should have security waived, hence the .00058. If they had listened your rate should have been .00051. The money factor .00025 is the buy rate. It is the dealer's option to mark up the money factor. All dealerships do it. Work your deal and see if you can get a break on it. 40 points equals .96%APR.

FYI, security deposit reduction drops the money factor by .00007 or 0.16%. If you are able to get them to go to the .00025 and want to reduce the rate. You are only allowed 2 deposits which will bring the MF to .00011. An additional security deposit reduction would drop the MF to .00004 which is below the minimum .00005 BMW FS allows under the current guidelines.

Money Factor

and

Residuals

Are the only 2 things that matter other then the negotiated price over invoice when it comes to a lease
