Strange leather indentation. Fixable?

Hello all,

Just recently got my car serviced and noticed the leather dash has some new strange creases on it that weren't there before. I was curious if any of you may know what the cause is of this as well as how to potentially fix it?

If it's under warranty, take it to the dealership and tell them to sort it out. If not, I don't know how to fix it but have had the same issue on other cars with leather in that area. I assume it has something to do with heat and the adhesive.

That being said, it hasn't happened on any of my current cars and I assume it's b/c I....

1. Window / glass tint. Formula One (Llumar) has several different options. You can tint like your other windows but would consider visibility at night and legality OR use their windshield specific product that helps w/glare and blocks damaging sun light.

2. Protect the actual leather w/something like Colourlock.

Hope that helps.

Turns out this happened because whoever tinted my windows was too lazy to out a towel over the dashboard. There was water that got all over the dashboard and into the seams causing water damage

I hope that shop is replacing your dashboard.
