Stain on M4 hood?
Hey everyone . I have a BSM 2018 M4 that I bought this summer. It's been a mild winter so far here in NH, and I haven't driven too much in the last month. I just noticed today some staining on the hood of the car on both sides. It doesn't look like normal winter grime though... can any of you tell what it is? Maybe I just need to get it washed ASAP?

Hmm I have something similar on my ppf at the same spot. Just one side tho(driver). I have a MW and it doesn’t have the blue color like urs. A while back on a rainy day I remember like a cola liquid/ maybe oil, wiped it off and saw the stain so unsure if that was the reason. Unable to get it off. Starting to worry if it’s actually the hood under the ppf.

Try polishing it after cleaning/claying. If that doesn't work, a pro detailer can probably do a wet-sand with 2K grit and then polish it out.

If it's under warranty, I would take it to the dealer before doing anything. The clear coat may be failing for some reason. A detailer can probably make it look better but it won't fix the problem and you'll just end up with less clear coat when they wet sand and buff it.
