Difficult to Unscrew CR Spotless Canisters

I recently replaced my resin in my CR Spotless but the left canister is leaking water. I tightened the canister more, and it's still leaking so mostly likely an issue with the o-ring or something when reinstalling. The issue now is I'm having significant issues unscrewing it. I generally have to give it some elbow grease to get these things off but this time it's on there really good and I still haven't managed to undo it.

I was curious if anyone had advice on getting it out? Also, during reinstall, does anyone maybe grease or lubricate it so they're not such a pain to undo later?

Have you tried wearing disposable nitrile or latex gloves to give you more leverage to unscrew it?

Yup, but it's because I have those on when washing car and that's when I identified the leak but that does make a difference. Thanks for the suggestion.

I purchased something as a possible solution. I'll come back with updates if I'm successful.

UPDATE: I used this strap filter wrench with a 1/2 breaker bar, and it worked like a charm. Hope this helps anyone else struggling to get their filter off.
