I've had this steering wheel for a little over a year. Bought it like-new from a forum member who purchased it directly from IND. I use Adams Polishes/Sonax Alcantara to clean it regularly, but the red 12 o'clock stripe is starting to fade. Anyone have any tips to properly restore? Do I need to re-dye myself and if so can anyone recommend any dyes?

Shoot me a PM with how much you're selling for. Unfortunately I don't have the sellers number anymore and looks like he's hasn't been active on here in a few months judging by his profile. Warranty replacement would have been clutch though.

You can re-dye leather no problem. But it happens with OEM leather too when you scrub it too hard and/or hold the steering wheel at 12 o'clock.

Thanks! I'll keep this in mind for the OEM leather, however I'm trying to match the red that IND uses for painting the stripe. I'm not sure which red that might be.

This is a high wear area, and nearly every vehicle with the wheel stripe has wear in this area. It's hard to keep it looking good. In your case, I would ship it to IND and have it touched up. Any DIY process isn't likely to hold up.

Well, that went no where. Kind of annoying they overcharge the cr@* out of this wheel at $1200+ and then pretty much say there's nothing they can do. Why even bother going through the hassle of getting the wheel to them if they can't guarantee a fix?

Believe it or not this was a problem with Ford Raptors as well. Those dudes used red electrical tape and or re-died them.
