Play greedy games win nasty prizes - scratched rear fender
Basically got greedy parking between two pillars and scratched my car... will it buff out?
For the meantime I’ve removed paint transfer and touched it up and it is not noticeable from afar but as I keep driving it the more it gives me the shits Will I need a respray? |

If you want to be made whole, yes, you’ll need a respray.
Sorry for your loss. I won a stupid prize playing a stupid game as well... went down a driveway with mismatched surfaces and ripped up my lip, broke my CF splitters, and cracked my front bumper. New Euro bumper on its way, which was an expense I wasn’t banking on... all because I went down the driveway but it was one way in and I was too lazy to go down the proper driveway exit. |

I did something similar to a lesser extent myself. I forget this car rolls back even with a DCT when parked. I reversed into a spot with a slight decline and there was a pillar right in the back. I didn't give it much space so when I left the car rolled back into it ever so slightly.
Looks like a complete respray is needed though. |

Respray for sure.
They will need to spray color in the immediate area, likely keeping it to the side of the bumper, but then they will need to clearcoat the whole bumper in order to make it right. If you just clear an feather it out at the end of the bumper, it will have a hard line after a simple polishing down the road. |

I got quotes about the same amount for my front bumper respray a while back. I went to 4 shops in various parts of two towns.
Everyone swears YMB is such a hard paint to match to other panels of different base materials (plastic VS metal). Dunno. |
