I have not, but I remember reading a post about someone finding it and showing pictures. I can't lay my hands on it right now, but I remember it!

Just one piece of advice...be careful while prying those plastic parts...becomes very brittle with age.

Very very true! I just managed to crack a pristine windshield while removing weather stripping rubber gasket (top part). See pictures. Replacing windshield is going to cost $400 😱

Usually car insurance will replace windshield for a low cost. With AAA, my sister's Lexus was done for pretty cheap (around $200 for cost of windshield insurance with $0 deductible)

I fixed the rattle by torquing the X bars on top of engine.
I can not believe the rattle telegraphed to the top of windscreen.
I will be working on rattle behind pas. seat now.
thank you mafoo for your rattle fix post.

There is a positive to cracked windshield if you have glass coverage.
1) you get aclean fresh viewing
2) there are no cheapy after market companies that make the windshield, so it'll have to be oem .

When mine cracked I insisted on oem, went back and forth with insurance company bc they will only provide 1 oem glass for new vehicle etc...then they called back and said they couldn't source aftermarket glass to fit vehicle, so oem it had to be

Weld broke on one of mine and it sounded like the whole dash was going to drop in my lap.
