Any Interest in AutoSolutions SSK (2019)?
I actually participated in the original GB few years back and can attest that it's the best shifter kit I've ever used. Nothing comes close (no offense to Rogue, UUC, even BMW Performance). Unfortunately I sold that car while back so I randomly emailed Ronald from AutoSolutions to see if he had any spare kits left over. His response (from vacation) was though he doesn't have any in stock, this kit is one of the more enjoyable ones for him and he'd consider doing another run when he returns. Furthermore, he went onto mention how he's "considerably improved" on the early 2018 version this past quarter though this new version would be more expensive than the last version.
Direct copy/paste from email Admittedly the new price at $449 is still a bit higher than the $399 Gen 1 price, but the kit is quite a bit more precise than the earlier model and a bit different as well as it now includes a much more robust and rigid pivot system and a matched selector rod. The shifter is now available in more reduction options than the first gen which was built at 13% or so. The Picture is of a 25% model. It also no longer includes the shift arm which was a bit redundant in the earlier model and that helped with the cost. The modifications to the shift arm are quite basic and do not justify an additional $80. I do however include the front bushings for that shift arm. 07.23 Update So minor update but there was some miscommunication. Ronald’s production process has changed such that he doesn’t need a large GB order but at same time he’s likely only able to produce a small number of kits. I’m waiting to hear back on what that #is, how much it would cost, detailed specs of the new kit and general ETA of when he could manufacture & ship. I will keep you guys posted...
