Are these holes in the downpipe flex section? (leak?)

Hey Guys,

If you look at this picture, look at the flex section on the longer pipe, it looks to have come apart a little bit? Are these holes an actual leak or is there another layer underneath it? is it a problem? Trying to figure out if i should buy them or not.

Cheers.

Following, I have the Gintani DPs with the same flex section. My exhaust setup is the same as my friends (different Downpipe) and cars sound different. Wondering if it would be a leak

That’s just braiding coming apart. There another section under there and I bet the braiding is purely cosmetic to give appearance of being flexible. You can’t seal two sections with just braid.
