2006 z4 3.0si Automatic Transmission Help
I am fairly new to the BMW Z4, I have only had mine for about a week but I am starting to notice sounds after I started driving it more. When I change from P I hear a loud creak and then it makes a clunk noise as I shift down to D. Should I be concerned because it doesn't sound good. But after I drive it a bit and park it and come back to it after about 2 hours it doesn't clunk as much.

Are you always parking on level ground?
If the parking dog has a load on it it'll clunk as it pulls back. I have a pretty steep driveway and when my Wife puts her Expedition in reverse to back out you can hear it from a block away.
