Traction control off-accident

This video shows that the risks are always present, also if you feel the car...(or you think to feel the car )
Anyway better to test everything in a track and come back on the roads with much more experience....

Ouch! You're right, better to do that on a track.

You know the driver/owner?

Best regards, south

shit...this is the exact reason i dont turn off DSC completely at the track. Dont care if it's not the fastest approach to tracking your car, but you never know what can happens.

Interesting, it didn't look like the driver had much time to react either. I wonder if MDM would have changed this outcome?

Major bummer.....at least it doesn't look like he hit the wall that hard......this is why high speed corners scare me so much....this video and the Audi R8 video from VIR..... It "almost" makes me not want to track my M3!! :>)

It doesn't even look like you try to run out the turn to the other side of the track. Did you have your eyes on lapping that car you can just see in front of you, was it just a loss of concentration or did you hit something (oil, gravel, ???)?

I'm sure it's a pain to get fixed. Sorry

Real sorry to hear about this Savage. I am glad you are okay. The car doesn't seem to be seriously damaged, but it's hard to tell from the video. I hope it is just body panels and the bumper, and that the suspension, engine, and structural elements are fine. How fast was the car going and in what gear was it in?

MDM would have most likely kept the rear end from going out in the first place. I don't think there is much it can do once you are sideways.

I keep on having loads of fun in auto-x with DSC off, drift around hairpins intentionally, and get things back together when I want, but that's just low speed screwing around on an airfield. You are right that on the track when things happen at high speed, much more is at risk. So, I plan to stick to MDM as well until I get a dedicated track car of lesser value.

hi to everyone.
The pilot is fine. But I have no pics to post. I was not that pilot.
Sorry but I can't help too much about the accident.
I have only given to that pilot my camera recorder.

bye
