Headliners Questions

So i was at my local dealer and i was in a IB with steel roof and it had a nice almost alacantra like headliner....really classy.......then i jumped into a Jez BLk with CF roof and it had this blk cloth headliner that was just plain nasty??

Both had non extended leather so i factored that out ...im sure i could go back up and the dealer could explain but kinda am looking for a quick answer so i came here.

any ideas?

I understand what you're saying, but I have no idea, they should all be the same.

i've never seen the alcantara type you mentioned. As far as i know, the coupe and sedans all have the black cloth headliner which is nice IMO. I don't know about the vert but i assume it's also the black cloth.

e90 and e92 m3s have anthracite headliners. either the IB was an e93 with something different or it wasn't IB and wasn't an m3.

It had legit an almost suede like headliner on it same as they put in the M5 and m6.... i was like wow this headliner is really nice and it really sought my attention then when i got in the blk m3 the first thing i felt was the roof and i was like hmmm this dosent feel as nice as the other oneand i got confused. I think im just gonna have to take a ride down to the dealer and solve this the hardway.

not trying to insult you, but you are sure that both were m3s? another member (not going to name names) swore that he had seen DCT on the M3 when it was really an m5 with smg.

let us know once you go down to the dealer!

Alcantara headliner is an individual option, available for sure in Canada.

ahha ya i knew everybody would be like are you u sure it was an m3 and im positive it was it was the 1st one they got in period ....it was iB with grey leather and bluegrey trim ....they use it as there demo ...and im positive it had the suede headliner .....ill keep you guys posted when i get down there.

If you ever make that trip back down there... do us all a favor and take a picture? Would go miles towards helping solve your dilemna.

FWIF - My M3 coupe with Carbon fiber roof, but not extended leather, has the same cloth material on the headliner that my sun shades are covered in.
