Where to have work done in CT????

Hello All!
I recently picked up an F80 Comp Pack M3. Naturally, the first mod I want done is the installation of wheel spacers and lowering springs. The parts cost approx 600 bucks. I called a local shop for an appointment, and the guy estimated 9-10 hrs of labor and requested over 1200 dollars for labor, 1800 total (including an alignment)

I guess he thought I drooled on myself for a living. I’m not gonna mention the shop, because apparently a lot of people like them, and maybe I spoke to the wrong rep.

Where do the local CT guys go to have parts installed? I’m in the West Hartford area. Thank you!!

Also...$600 for springs is way too much too. MS sells for around $400 or so.

Tommy Boy! Thanks, brother; I’ll check it out now.. that price is for springs and spacers.

if you don't mind driving to north NJ Auto couture will take care of you for wayyyyy less and have you out same day

You could try Lydell Motors in North Haven. They can def do the work and have a Hunter laser alignment rack. He aligned my F80 and has mounted and balanced countless tires for me. Mark (the owner) is a long time road racer. Very respectful people.

I’d recommend Munich Motorsports or Panache Auto Werke. Munich is in East Windsor. Panache is in the Bridgeport area I think, so a little further for you, but they’re great.

Thanks everyone! I def have some calling around to do now. I’m seeing Panache in Stratford. I’m assuming that’s the one?

Thanks again, all. I have decided to go with Lydell in North Haven. Mark gave me a great deal and definitely knew what he was talking about as far as parts and procedure.

I also decided to go with H&R Sport Springs and Turner Motorsport 12.5 mm spacers all the way around. I’ll throw pics up when it’s done
