NASA TT class calculator question
In preparation for future endeavors and in hopes to line up my budget, I was trying to figure out in which category would I compete. Unfortunately for me, it is not that clear to me.
I have to compile certain points based on modifications and pair that to a weight to horsepower formula and then I will arrive at the class I should be competitive with; right? Not trying to go any further as I cant commit too much time to this passion for a number of years still to come. But I can still keep a relatively stock car while trying to improve times, bragging rights, cooler stories, etc. Thank you for your input. Ricardo

you'll be in WT to HP (Number class). Most likely TT3 or TT2.
It's a lot easier to just get with the TT director at next NASA event and have them walk you through it. They have a pretty involved dyno averaging formula and you have to get certain information from the dyno operator. Or you can just run in TTU and not worry about any forms. Also you have to apply for TT license and get a check ride so you have a little bit of time. Here are the rules: https://nasa-assets.s3.amazonaws.com...1--3-21-18.pdf Here's a link to calculator. https://form.jotform.com/drivenasa/s...ification-form |
