50 shades of Yas
I'm in the market for an M4 but live in an area where going and checking out specific colors isn't very easy. I've been mainly looking at AW and MGM but YMB hasn't been ruled out. My problem is that I can't seem to really tell what color it is. Seems to be more smurf than ford blue. I've only seen one before and it was 2+ years ago. If you look at 50 pictures of it they all seem to be slightly different. Does the color change that much? Just a simple google image search shows a huge difference. YMB owners what is your truest/closest pic to actual color?

Found a pic on here comparing the YMB, LSB, and Atlantic. The LSB is more of what I'm looking for I think. Dark smurf versus sky smurf. Can't imagine it's an easy find especially if looking for a used one. BMW USA doesn't even have it as an option for individual color. Do you have to go beat on a desk at the dealer to get it or fly out to Europe?

Top left is definitely Laguna Seca Blue.
Bottom left is a little suspicious, and bottom center doesn't look quite YMB, but I can't put my finger on what it is. |

I don't think all of those photos are of a YAS car. But it does indeed have some nice shades depending on lighting, and the metallic is far more pronounced than I ever thought until seeing in person. I've owned it for all of about 375 miles and no really good photos yet, but you can definitely see how it appears one shade of blue (front) to another in the direct sun (back). Just shot with the S8, no filters, etc.

I've been through the posts but a lot of people like to dress up their pics and get the best shots. I'm more interested in the real life look of it and if it really just does change shades as dramatically as it seems.

It depends on the light, but this is my favorite photo of my car. On this particular day, this is an accurate reflection of how my car looked. Also, I never noticed my car being all bleached out like I see on some photos.
