2018 CSF Bimmer Challenge Series
Hello everyone,
Last year, KOYORAD bimmer challenge was a complete success! We are finalizing all the details for the 2018 Bimmer Challenge Series and it's shaping up to be the best season yet! For those not familiar with Bimmer Challenge, this is a BMW specific time trial series hosted by www.speedventures.com in CA and AZ. You not only get to win prizes and discount for parts, but you also get to be in a very friendly competitive environment. All BMWs are welcome! This year we're working really hard on getting more solid sponsors than ever for the series as well as trophies and prizes. The point of this thread is to build awareness and engagement of the series. Feel free to ask questions or suggest changes. Bimmer Challenge Rules 2018 Bimmer Challenge standing and results You can find your Bimmer Challenge classing by going to the 2018 Bimmer Challenge Rules and selecting your chassis' base points. For example, my E46 M3 = 2 base points. I would start at +2 points then add up any points from modifications my car has which are listed on Section 3 of link. Once you total up your points you can find your class listing below from B5 to B1. Facebook Page We'll post updates and send out event invites through Facebook. Feel free to join! I see the Route 1 to 395 to 14th St to C St to 12th St track isn't on the list. I've got that one nailed down hard in the X5. The return trip has a wicked bump right in the left hander merging onto the 395 HOV lanes (that I hop off of before they are enforceable). Moves the X5 over a couple of feet if I hit it at any speed over the usual crawl. Wicked. Even worse in the M3 and I drive that on Fridays so I do usually get a free shot at the corner. Need Fox shocks to take that on properly...
GL to all that run in the challenge. Remember that racing is life. Everything else is just waiting.

I just wanted to say thanks to you guy for putting all the time and effort into the Bimmer Challenge series! You have quite the impressive sponsor list this season!
I had fun out there on Saturday competing with Joe from Trinity Autosport. He and I were within a second of each other, going for it in B1. I enjoyed chatting with the Titan7 guys. Learned all sorts of interesting stuff. Ok, I'm gonna need some help here.......Was it me? Or did I see Elie Mansour drive like 18 different cars on Saturday? I'm starting to think that he's actually the only driver in the Bimmer Challenge. You just show up with your car and he drives it to the fast lap. He's sort of the Randy Pobst of Bimmer Challenge. I swear, every time I was standing there chatting with him, someone would walk up and say, "Hey Elie, do you want to take my car out this time?" What the heck? Anyway, I hope I can do some more of these this year. |

I was wondering if you were going to be there, but I didn't see a Z4 in the sign ups. Does your car compete in B1? Yeah, family stuff might keep me away from Buttonwillow.....looking into that now. |

I will try to be there. But there are some significant hurdles.....the family will be in Mammoth, I'm supposed to drive kids up to Mammoth, and my nephew might come down from Alaska for the ski trip. I can work around the first two items. But if my nephew comes down, then I'm definitely out. We'll see!

I just finished looking at the series seeing what I would be comfortable building within the rules but if people can just go put a pro driver in their car for a lap then that does't sound like something I will bother participating in.
