Recommendation on exhaust system!

As written on title. Got my m3 several weeks ago and thinking to change to the akrapovic slip-on exhausts. Wonder if that would be too loud. And any recommendation for exhaust system.

I have also seen people put different brand on their mid pipe and muffler like autowerk mid pipe and akrapovic slip-on, wonder if the volume can be controlled with these combination.

Some pics on the m3!

Thats the playing field and everyone will say they have one or the other and vote for it, better to just watch YouTube clips of each one to try to get an idea. Top 4 are the louder ones. Non-resonated versions for all if sticking with stock downpipes. None will be too loud or obnoxious.

Doing the AA midpipe will slightly lessen the volume paired to any axleback, but will make it clean (very little rasp), deep, and more bassy.

I have the Remus full catback and like it, though it's not the best nor most expensive.

Don't forget Soul. Would recommend hearing these in person before pulling trigger. Maybe ask your vendor what they can do to accomplish this. Good luck!

Volume can be controlled if you get a system with valves.

I have the MPE with Fabspeed's midpipe. With the valves open it is pretty loud but with the valves close it sounds somewhat like a regular car with a slightly sportier exhaust.

Akrapovic EVO

Slip on is way too quite

You could save some by going midpipe with secondary cat delete. That will make your car louder.

Rear sections tend to make loud more "clean"

Active Autowerke midpipe and rear section pretty much eliminated any rasp. Not obnoxious at all. It’s a nice setup.
