track day oil change intervals

Hey just was just trying to get some suggestions on how often to change the fluids such as tranny/diff/oil and what brand you guys have experience with.

My schedule last year was liqui moly 10w60 oil changing it at 5000km with 3 track days and tranny/differential annually at roughly 10,000km with motul fluids.

Have an Blackstone oil analysis done and get some real data. That way you can make good data-based decisions based on your car, your driving and whats going on in your drivetrain.

I'm using Ravenol 10w60 at 3-4 track day intervals or 5000 miles, whichever comes first. I've changed my DCT transmission fluid twice (ever), and my differential fluid never (except break-in presumably).

162k miles, 55+ track days.

Do your rear diff... I had Malek do mine when I had my studs changed out. I had a service kit and intended to do it myself, but with the ease of having it on the lift, I just had him do it. He said it was in bad shape.

Yeah, the fluid in my rear diff was absolutely filthy after 4 track days.

Lol I've never changed it. It will fall apart if I drain it

I think the OP's intervals are typical.

Don't forget to flush the power steering fluid. More often if you auto-x.

This. Pay for TBN + TAN and you will see if the oil is going acidic, as well.

I did 6,200 miles, 2 track days (one of them had 105F ambient temp), 1 autocross and did blackstone analysis with TBN analysis. They said I had far longer to go on the oil. Will try 4-6 track days and similar mileage.

Do you also use Ravenol DCT fluid?

I'm using Blackstones with each oil change to monitor contaminants, and also the level of oil breakdown.
Last interval was 9,500km (5800 miles) - with 5 track days.
Oil analysis showed surprisingly good qualities so I'm sticking with that metric.
