Winter Mats

Has anyone purchased the laser fit mats from this company - Findway.ca - they are local GTA (you can pick up from the store in Markham) and have a set made specifically for F80.

Front and back mats are $99 compared to Weathertech which runs $250 (CAD)
(+HST)

https://www.findway.ca/f518-style-3d...-velcro/09200b

Seems like a good deal - if the quality hold up. I think I will visit the store and check them out but just curious if anyone has a set.

Didn't you receive complimentary M rubber mats from your dealer? I just assumed that we will receive these as part of the huge PDI & Admin fees our dealers charge us.

I better check with my dealer...

Sorry no experience with Findway.

I actually got complimentary mats as well. I didn't even ask for them. I popped open the trunk, and there they were. Including a bunch of cleaning products as well.

Get this. I have this on my f80 m3 and f15 x5

Perfect fitment on both. U won't regret. With Costco s refund policy that's no brainer.

Checkout with masterpass to save another $25 bucks

And yes I got the complimentary rubber mats for both of my vehicles as well... (That's like a must have offer) Which I use them during the summer time.. I m surprised op unheard. Try to talk to ur sales again and see if u can get a set.

Does it only come in beige? That's a horrible colour for mats. It will look like shit by the end of winter.

I've actually hade them in three of my vehicles. I really liked them for the following reasons.

1. I like the look of them vs the plastic/rubber look of competitors.
2. They cover the whole dead pedal, whereas the weather techs only cover half (when I looked, not sure if they changed the design or not) so you don't get a bunch of dirt, rocks etc behind the mat.
3. Super easy to clean.
4. So far they are really durable.
5. Considerably less money.

I've had both weather techs and husky liners, and like these ones the best so far.

Have those just with the red stripe. Love how they fit and look!

I have purchased the mats from findway.ca - the fitment is good, no issues - velcro secures them in place front and back. The finish is a black, and the material is carpet like, which I prefer over the weathertech mats I had in my S4 which are more like a hard plastic. They blend in nicely in the car.

They are a fitted mat like weathertech, waterproof with a thick rim to hold water/salt and provide good coverage especially around the dead pedal they go up quite high.

They also came with a 5th section that velcros over the middle transmission hump between the rear seat footwells.

So all in all, I am happy with them and would say these are best bang for the buck at $99 + HST vs. $275 + HST for Weathertech.

Not bad, wonder how well the carpet will absorb the liquid. The thing I hate about rubber mats is that you end up with a pool of liquid pretty quickly. Call me crazy but I usually run two sets of carpet mats, one for winter and one for summer purely to avoid the small pond in the foot well. Might have to try these ones out.

Look like they won’t do for lots of snow/slush... the driver’s side is short, won’t reach the seat rails and the right side is not that high. And cleaning them looks like a job... I have the weather tech, absolute failure and horrible product.

I gave up on winter mats, and frequently clean the inside to avoid any salt lines...

OP, please do post pics when they are actually dirty, and that you’ve used them post a snow storm. GL.

In that case, it explains why sometimes "products" get contradicting reviews. You'd think a company that makes winter mats would actually test them in harsh conditions ...

Anyways, I'd give +1 for this product without trying it just on the fact it's way cheaper than the Weathercrap mats.

Just received my mats from Findway and it seems that the top part of the drivers mat (area directly to the right of the dead pedal cover) doesn't sit flush with the floor, it bulges out a bit. This normally would not be an issue but I have a manual car so when the clutch pedal is being put fully in, the bottom part of the clutch pedal scraps the area that is bulging out. This makes an odd noise but more importantly alters the feel of the clutch when shifting.

Don't really want to cut a small area for the clutch but better than making my clutch feel spongy. Anyone else have this issue?

I ended up getting a complimentary set of oem BMW mats from the dealer. Fits great and feels good. Wish it had a bit more coverage though.

At first I had that issue, but you have to adjust the mat. You have to pull it towards the driver seat a little (pull it down - the Velcro will hold it). It will fit fine after that. I highly recommend these.

I have brand new BMW winter rubber mats for F80 if anyone is interested.

$50 - pm me.

However, these or the findway ones don't compare to the weathertech and from the looks of it the costco ones as the pool is localized and won't overrun into the carpet.

Only issue is you will have to dump out the water/slush often.

Weather is utter crap, I feel I need to say it every time I was almost tempted to try findway, but they don't have M4 versions... though it may fit the front, unsure about rear...
