Estimate Cost for brake replacement
Hi all,
I enjoyed myself a few track days, and now it is time to change the brake system on my M4. I was wondering if it is smart move to do the replacement at the stealer, or is there any better way to get this done? I live in GTA area so any inputs will be appreciated! |

CCB's are very expensive obviously, and while OEM steel rotors cost less, total replacement isn't exactly cheap. I have a print out of total cost of replacement for front Rotors plus rear pad replacements. You can effectively at another $1450 for rear rotors and probably as well as some additional costs in labour.
Note: all done through local dealer. Edit quote attached for future reference. Last edited by Canuckles; 09-18-2017 at 02:58 PM.. |

You most likely just need pads. They are very easy to replace on our cars. Even the rotors are simple if need be. Check out YouTube or the diy sub section. If you are slightly mechanically inclined you can do it with common hand tools.

Ecstuning is also a good place to order from... I'll echo everyone's comments, brakes are easy, not worth going to stealership....

I am getting a big brake kit and will have aftermarket 2 piece rotors, track pads and lines for sale in the next two weeks. Disks are front and rear from Racing Brake and are 2mm thicker than stock. Pads are Ferodo DS1.11
Rotors and pads have less than 1500km on them. Got a great deal on BBK. Alex |

Bump for updates. How is the selection and prices for parts these days? Both pads and rotors all around are on the thin side. I am not mechanically inclined nor do I have a garage to work in. I am in the 604 area code.
