what size spacers to use for stock 18" wheels lowered??

Hey guys,

Can anyone chime in on what wheel spacer size I should use after lowering my M3 on coilovers on stock 18" wheels? I was thinking 10mm in the rear and 15 in the front or should I go with 12mm in the front? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I did 10 and 15 on 19's and it was perfect.

Make sure the spacers have enough lip to support the wheel hub.

10/15

I use 10mm rear, 15 mm front on stock 18s and stock tire sizes, lowered on Swift springs.

Tried 12 mm rear, but tires rubbed somewhat, even though overall the car felt better with 12mm rear. Visually, I prefer the 10mm rear.

Some like to push the fronts to 18mm.

I searched but couldnt find anything specific, was wondering if my 18" stock wheels is a square set-up front and rear? If thats the case, shouldnt I get 15mm all around or are the 18" rear stock wheels staggered?

Stock 18s are staggered

8.5" rim front
9.5" rim rear

Certainly your driving dynamics will be better if you use the same spacer size front and rear...say 10mm or 12 mm (assuming 12 mm doesn't rub).

So I guess I should just go 10mm rear and 12mm front then, 15mm in the front might rub..?

No

Read again.

I use 15mm front and they work just fine. No rubbing.

Only the rear rubbed when I used 12 mm spacers, lowered on Swift Springs.

I see, I'm probably going to get coilovers installed. So looks like I will go 10mm rear and 15mm front, I wonder if I need to get my fenders rolled....

If you're running stock size tires, 10mm rear and 12-15mm front will be fine.

^Yes sir, stock tire sizes, no fender rolling necessary with the drop? Thinking about just closing the wheel gap.. not gonna go too low. Whats the tire size upgrade people usually with stock 18" wheels? Is it still 245/35 up front and 275/30 rear?
