Some help with wheel and tire fitment

I normally track with 275 square Hoosier R7 but I want more grip.....

I'm getting ready to run time trials next week with NASA and I was wondering if I can run a 295 Hoosier R7 on an apex 10 inch rim square? Or should the rim be 10 1/2 inches wide?

i'm currently running -3.8 camber upfront and I don't have a problem running a 10 mm spacer.

I know for certain if I go with a wider tire I'll be quicker obviously so any help would be great thank you!

I don't know if their sizes run wide or narrow, but I'd say a 295 might be a bit much for a 10". However, there are a few on here running 295's on 10.5's and it's not a huge difference.

A 295 will be ok on a 10" rim. A 10.5" rim would be considered more ideal. But there's no reason you can't run 295 on a 10" rim. You will see a benefit from the extra rubber.

As far as fitting under the car, this really is dependent on the suspension you run, and then after that, the height of the car. What suspension are you on? If aftermarket, what length front spring? And do you run helper springs?

Your main initial concern is the front. If you have a stock suspension, the 295 could be a challenge.

The rear is not as much a problem unless the rear is super low. If the rear is really low, you could be rubbing on liners and stuff like that with the 295.

Are you already running a 10mm spacer in the front to make the 275 fit? If so, you may run into some challenges with the larger tire.

Thanks guys!
I'm on MCs 2 ways with helper springs. -3.8 offset....I just test fitted my 11" 16.5 offset bbs e88 with a 295 Trofeo R tire, 12mm spacer. I can get away with a 10mm spacer...looks like it will work.
Just found out... a friend of mine is selling 285 and 305 Pirelli PZero Slicks..they have one day of use and he's practically giving them away to me. They will go on my 18x10, 18x11 e88's. That should be grippy! But I will be sacrificing the neutral feeling of a square setup...it's fine. Just testing the waters. I will see how this will compare to my 275 hoosier R7 square setup.
