First track day finally done!!

I finally pulled the trigger and spent this past Sunday 8-5 @ Dominion Raceway. What a great experience, the people, cars, atmosphere etc!! The e90 did great and I certainly picked up A LOT of pointers from my instructor. Needless to say I will be signing up for another day VERY soon, I am thinking Summit Point or VIR next. The bug has officially set in.....

Congratulations, to some extent the first track event is the best one. The capability of the car is really incredible and when you experience it on the track it's nothing at all like being on the street.
Save your money and don't go crazy with track mods, spend it on driver development and take one step at a time. It's a great hobby.

Glad to hear it was a success.

I'd suggest spending your money on driver education (racing school) so you can really hone your skills, and not on buying more parts for the car other than the basic consumables/safety items. I learned so much from racing school that I'm going back.

Thanks for the encouragement!! I had no real immediate plans for mods. After driving it on the track it is plenty obvious, even in stock form, it's more of a car than I am a driver and I am not at all embarrassed to admit that! I got a median (5 out of 10) review from my instructor, so that's not horrible for a first timer I don't don't think.

Was also thinking about DR for a 1st track day - did you take it in completely stock, or change out tires / brakes, etc?

Basically completely stock, I did flush my brake fluid and refill with Motul RBF600. The car did great. DR was fun, I went with TrackDaze and they ran a great event. I don't have anything to compare to, as of yet, buy they were very professional, courteous and the event was very safely run as well, IMO. Most of all, my instructor was great!

Here's a quick video my friend clipped together. You're better off downloading to view, otherwise it's choppy...
