Question Anyone rocking the Stand 21 gloves?

After several years of hard use, my Alpinestars Tech 1-ZX gloves are on their last legs. I'm tempted to just buy another pair since they worked well but I am also curious about the Stand 21 stuff.

Does anyone have their gloves, and if so, would you buy them again? I'm looking at the "Outside Seams II" model.

All of my gloves except my first pair have been the Alpenistars.

The stand21 cuffs look less annoying, or more, depending on how your suit fits

Not sure what glove I would use instead, maybe a kart glove the one kart glove ive tried from omp was super comfy, if I didn't need nomex. Nomex cloth stout enough to be fit for high wear gloves isn't exactly comfy

I don't wear a suit. The gloves are just to improve my grip on the wheel and absorb sweat.

Try out some kart gloves then, that's what they're designed for with no compromises for fire safety

Believe the OMP ones are around $50

is there a point to using gloves if your hands don't sweat? i've never had a problem with that, or gripping the wheel. is that the only benefit?

They do improve grip on the wheel, and I'd argue they slow down wear-and-tear on the steering wheel.

It's really just personal preference.

I've tried karting gloves, but now that my hands don't really sweat anymore (not as nervous?), I can't stand them. Kind of like using a rubber.

I prefer the 1-ZX since they have the outside seams.

I would go through Speedway Motors' inventory to see if they have a good deal on a pair of gloves. I got my Alpinestars gloves for $20.

I bought the OMP One Evo Gloves. I think it comes down to the steering wheel you have and your preferences. I didn't like wearing gloves with a leather wheel. Any wheel with Suede or Alcantara I like using gloves

I wear gloves at the track mostly for grip, but partly for protection. I've been in a car fire, and I was glad to have gloves on when I reached in for the fire extinguisher. I have the Alpinestars, but liked my old Sparco high-end gloves with outside seams better.

My car's steering wheel is microsuede, but I like gloves on a smoother leather wheel moreso.
