Winter tires 2017
Hey guys, just picked up a lightly-used 2016 F80. This is to be my daily driver here in Milwaukee, so a fair amount of ice snow and wetness in winter. My daily drivers for the last few years were an S2000 on General Altimax Arctics followed by a C6 ZO6 Corvette on Michelin PA4s. I'm definitely a fan of the performance snow tire overall for my situation. The Michelins did surprisingly well, I ran 245 in front and 285 in back, my Z06 did 504 whp and hooked up reasonably well on dry days and got me around in some real snow.
I still have the 245/40/18 fronts and would prefer to just run these with another pair on 513Ms, but the US sizing options are super limited. Any way to special order 265/40/18 from Europe? 245/40 would be really stretched on a 10" wheel. 255/40 square on 513Ms is an option but I don't love the idea and can't get PA4 in that size. Can't get any wider 18" performance snow tires for that matter. I'd really prefer to run the nice OEM forged 513M wheels over the cast 640Ms or something aftermarket. |

They're contis, but same contis that they use at the alpine winter driving school You can go for the 641s and get as square setup of nokians. The only nokians that fit on the 18" wheels are the studded version and the non studded version of the studded tire (which Nokian themselves did not recommend). |
