TPM Malfunction??

Hey all, the attached popped up today... has anyone experience this before? Tires look and drive fine...

Do I need to take the car to the dealer? Or is there a DIY fix?

Thanks!

You can always turn off and on to see if that fixes.

Then try a reset.

That's what happens when you listen to 102.7 KIIS-FM.

I tried turning the car off and on and doing a tpm reset and nothing happened at first. Then I got on the freeway and tried another reset and it reset fine... tire pressure reading normal now.

Odd issue, glad it resolved itself.

I'd still manually double check the PSI to be safe.

Me too!

I'm going to guess this, but it's just a guess.

As it relates to TPM systems failing or life in general?

I don't know the answer to either.

I had the tpm malfunction last month during cold weather (10F) set the pressure to 32 and it still didn't want to reset. I filled them to 36psi and it reset itself. Thank god I was worried it was maybe the rdc. I had the car on a battery tender during that time so I was worried maybe that did something but I guess everything is fine.
