Pic Request: 275/35ZR19 Square on ZCP wheels
Hi all, did a lot of searching to find this setup, but I can't seem to find any pics. I remember someone doing it before, but for the life of me I can't find the thread I saw it. I'm due for front tires and have a new pair of 265s in the rear, but I want to upgrade my ZCP setup to square and not buy 245s again. I know 265/35ZR19 square will work with the ZCP wheels, but if I can squeeze 275/35s on without rubbing, that'd be great. I'd buy a pair of 275/35 and run staggered 265F/275R until the 265s are done, then go to 275 in the front too. I'm on the stock ZCP suspension, and I don't plan on lowering it.
Thanks!

if you're going to go with 275's up front, you need 275/30/19's. the 275/35 profile will rub. i am on oem zcp suspension as well, oem zcp wheels, and no spacers. no issues with the 275/30's.
right now i'm running 275/30/19's up front and 295/30/19's in the rear. no issues, feels great. do you want pictures of anything specific?

x2 on what roastbeef said, with 275s on 19s you would want 275/30-19 even with the 265 up front you would want a 265/30-19 for the front.
The rear can fit a 275/35-19 with no problem. Depending on what tire you go with you can go up to a 285-295/30-19 rear.

A 275 tire on the front 19x9 wheel is going to be far from ideal and you may struggle to find shops that will even do that. The range I have seen is often something like this for a 9" wide wheel:
Minimum: 235 Ideal: 245 or 255 Maximum: 265 It's not to say you can't go wider, but mounting might be really difficult and it will put weird stress on the sidewalls, belts, etc. This also ignores the obvious safety concerns of the contact patch being wrong. If running 275 all around is what you're really after, I'd suggest getting a wider wheel up front.

fits fine and feels fine. not stretched out, but no belly, either. it definitely isn't like a challenger running 295's on their 8" wheel...

OP why do you want to run 275s on OEM wheels? You will lose steering feel, have a smaller tire which would look off and slow your car down because of an increase in contact patch. |
