Mixing Cup2's tyres with PS4s
I want to run cup 2's on my car but I'm running 20's all around but they don't make cup2's in 265/30/20...they make the 295/30/20 rears....Do you think i could match them with pilot sport 4s's in the front..? I don't track only spirited street driving...

As mentioned above, you'll experience understeer since your rear tyres are grippier.
That being said, I know plenty of local people that are running sticky as hell Nitto's or MT's in the rear, with random tyres up front because all they do is strive for straight line performance. |

Mixing compounds is generally never a good idea, because the balance of the car will change with temperature and make it less predictable.
If your prefer something stickier than PSS/PS4S, take a look at P Zero Corsa. You could go with 255/30 and 295/30. |

I would not mix PSC2 and PS4 tires. As others have stated, it will have an adverse effect on balance, predictability (grip vs. temperature), and F-to-R hydroplaning resistance.
I'm running PSC2s F and R and their grip level is much higher than the PSS, and I'm sure the PS4 as well. I can't imagine what the car would feel like with the huge loss of grip on the F by switching from PSC2 to PSS/PS4; however, it definitely would not be good! |
