Advice Please : New PS4S 295/30/19 rear rubbing

just got new (to me) Work Brombachers and the rear 19x11 +21 wheel is wrapped with Michelin PS4S in 295/30.

I went for a "spirited" drive the first night I got them and didn't really rub that much except for 1-2 large dips in the freeway. today, I went for a drive with the wife and two kids and noticed a bit more rubbing but not terrible sounding. when we got home, I noticed a nice ring around the sidewalls which tells me I rubbed a lot more than I thought.
I really want to keep these tires but also don't want to God forbid have a tire blow up in the middle of the road. Should I :

1) wait I out a couple more weeks and see if the fender line files down itself
2) adjust rear camber
3) trim fender line with Dremel
4) (least desired) get 285/30 PS4S's

These will always rub with a 11" wheel and a +21 offset. The only thing you can do it run a 285/30/19 and may need a 275.

even some negative camber won't do?

Option #4 doesn't exist in PSS or PS4S. I wish it did.

Add some neg camber and trim the fender liner/bumper tab some. You can make it work if you want to. What suspension are you running?

I have Swift Spec R Springs. Stock shocks .

I really want to make it work because I like these new tires. I just went for another drive by myself and only rubbed once and it was on a really big dip that I expected too rub on any way

the car isn't a daily. My kids rarely ever ride in it. I also very rarely have friends in the back

I'm going to hit up one of the local Indie shops that specialize in suspension and Alignment. Hopefully a little negative camber will do the trick

adding some pics from what I saw when pulling out the driver side rear wheel. this first pic shows that plastic tab where bumper and fender meet seems to have taken some abuse. I stuck my finger up the passenger side and it seems to be the same thing. I think this is where it's rubbing.

That tire is way too big. Might have to try a 275/35, the extra sidewall may give it a nice roll around the edge and not give too much of a stretched look.

I've seen others in the aggressive fitment thread run the same tire sizes. I'm going to a shop that specializes in custom alignment this week to see if I can solve the issue with neg camber as turbo_joe suggests

You need to either run a different brand tire or narrower PS4S.

Looking at the tire rack website in the 295/30/19 size for example the PS4S is 11.1 inches wide at its tread patch whereas the hankook V12 is 10.5 inches wide.

If you are really set on a 295 width tire you may have to switch brands but even then it's gonna be questionable even with extra camber. Now that I remember I just saw an F80 M3 with 295/30/19 PS4S + 11 inch wide rims + max negative rear camber still have rub marks on the sidewalk that I could see hidden behind the tire gel. Remember that PS4S and PSS run very wide compared to other brands.

I would rather go with 275/35/19 ps4s with corresponding 255's up front. The 275's have a tread width of 9.7 and are recommended for 9 to 11 inch rims so it would be perfect.

That way you can run it hard through the turns even with people in the back and not have to worry about rubbing while having your alignment adjusted for the best handling rather than compromising for that hella flush fitment.

Lastly... the rear fenders on the coupe has a tiny bit more clearance than the sedan. So what just barely works on a coupe will not work on a sedan.

i run PSS 295/30/19 with a 11inch +25 rears. Your offset is too agressive for that size tire. Try camber adjustment to see if you can get away with it.

Thanks - on your last point though, I believe I've read on numerous threads, that the E90 had more room than the E92.

Correct, the E90 has a tad more room in the rear.

OK, I'm going to give this a shot on Friday w/ the neg camber. I already contacted tirebuyer (the place where I bought the tires) and they said they can let me exchange for free if I do need to go down to 255/35 275/35

had half my car up a steep driveway and the other half off. this helped show me where the rub is. looks like the fender tab is indeed the culprit. I'm 90% sure I'm not rubbing on metal but hard to tell for sure.

Get 3 people to sit in your trunk and run your fingers around the top of the arch to make sure the problem is not also there.

That's a really aggressive setup. Most people do not go lower than a 25 offset with 295/30/19 tires. As others have said the PS4S is a very wide tire compared to some other brands.

Even if you grind off the plastic fender liner that sticks out you might end up grinding the metal that it's currently protecting.
