Questions on running 295/35/19 rears.

from doing some reading it seems like a lot of guys prefer running 295/30/19 rears over 35. I was wondering if there was a particular reason? Other than preferring the looks of the smaller tirewall.

The 35 ratio is 7mm larger than stock while the 30 is 7.75mm smaller. I assumed having a slightly larger diameter tire in the rear would be less invasive to DSC compared to a slightly smaller diameter one. With respect to the OE 275/35/19

I guess it's because u can't find many 295/35 options out there, especially the popular ps4s.

I am running the 265(M0)-295(*)/35R19 setup and love it. You are correct, increasing the rear-to-front diameter stagger will make DSC/MDM slightly less intrusive while decreasing it, with a 295/30R19 tire for instance, will make it more intrusive.

lowered on Macht Schnell competition springs. No spacers (these tires aren't on the OEM wheels).

I'm currently using Continental SportContact 6 in a 295x35x19 size. It's a bit chunkier than a 30 profile but I love the LeMans look and an added benefit is that it gets rid of some of the wheel arch gap.
