Parking question

Hi guys.

Just a question regarding parking forwards.

My AMG had distance sensors that would beep in close proximity to an object.

With my M3 do I need to hit the P button to activate the sensor if forward parking? It auto activates on reverse as it knows I'm parking. But do it I need to manually activate it for forward parking ?

Thanks in advance.

My car is the same. You do need to hit the P button to activate the front sensors. I had a new 420d loaner that had that feature.

Thanks for the reply.

That's somewhat annoying! Every car has its quirks

Yes, you have to push the P button before parking

However, it doesn't always pick up low curbs so I always back into parking spots

Yeah agree.

Honestly the wheel arches make this car very hard to avoid kerbing the wheels.
